NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - GRAYKEY LICENSE RENEWAL Notice of Intent to Sole Source Award THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Joint Administrative Operations, Acquisition & Property Operations. USFWS IRTM Headquarters intends to award a firm fixed price sole source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $250,000 to:

FWS intends to award this requirement as a sole source to MAGNETIC FORENSICS, LLC., The United States Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), Legacy 9, intends to award a firm-fixed price, sole source contract to MAGNET FORENSICS, LLC 2250 CORPORATE PARK DR, STE 130, HERNDON, VA 20171 because GrayShift’s GrayKey is a hardware and software device that allows data extraction from the newest Apple iOS and Android devices.

Data extracted using this product is designed to work seamlessly with Magnet Axiom, the current Digital Evidence Recovery and Technical Support Unit (DERTSU) primary forensic analysis tool. This application is sold and maintained by Magnet Forensics. GrayShift is the sole developer and manufacturer of Graykey Products. Grayshift, LLC has one licensed reseller (Magnet Forensics LLC) of Graykey that can fulfill the requirement.

End users must fulfill the requirement through Magnet Forensics LLC. In essence, GrayKey is used in conjunction with other forensic tools to allow for the most comprehensive extraction capability. GrayKey is also designed to works seamlessly with the DERTSU's current primary forensic analysis programs. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation; however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities.

The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
