Net Zero Buildings (Renovation) - Fort Campbell, KY

The Department of Defense (DoD) seeks to prototype innovative design and construction techniques and materials in order to improve the energy and water efficiency of its existing building infrastructure. Therefore, the DoD is seeking new approaches, potentially turnkey, for the net zero design and renovation of existing buildings. Net Zero Building.

A net zero building is defined as a highly energy efficient building with scope 1 and scope 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from all building operating energy use (excluding mission-specific process equipment) equal to zero on an annual basis. Renovation solutions that reduce ongoing maintenance actions by DoD personnel are preferred.
