Notice of Intent to Sole Source for NAII Power Supply (75PS4 Series)

The Air and Ground Contracting Branch (AFLCMC/HNCKA) intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) purchase order on a sole-source basis to Kampi Components Co., Inc. (for the procurement of five (5) power supply units (Part # 75PS4-D100WH1) and five (5) power supply units (Part # 75PS4-D200WH1) manufactured by North Atlantic Industries Inc. (NAII). The NAII's 75PS4 series is a rugged, high-performance 75W or 150W DC/DC power supply designed for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets.

This programmable, switching COTS conduction-cooled converter accepts a +28 VDC input and plugs directly into a standard 3U cPCI chassis with a 0.8” slot. These Power Supply units are the only known certified components that are compatible with the current system configuration certified by Big Safari Configuration Control board (CCB). Based on Market Research, Kampi Components Co., Inc. is the only distributor for these units by NAII.

The Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of this contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Therefore, the proposed action is for the required supplies which the Government intends to solicit from one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation exists for the requirement. Request for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged.

Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability of meeting this requirement by the due date. A request for documentation or additional information, or submissions that only ask questions or expresses interest in the requirement without demonstrating capability of meeting the requirement will not be considered as affirmative responses.

A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source procurement.
