Notice of intent to negotiate Succeeding Leases for tower and associated space for National Weather Radio in Yakima, WA and Denison, IA

Description: The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to negotiate succeeding leases for continued use of tower and shelter space supporting National Weather Radio (NWR) operations at the following sites: Denison, IA – Lease No. 15EKW0047C Yakima, WA – Lease No. 17WSW0224C NOAA has determined that negotiating succeeding leases in these locations is necessary to maintain uninterrupted NWR broadcast service.

Site-specific market research indicates that relocation is not cost-effective or operationally feasible. This action will be conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as only one responsible source can meet the Government’s requirements at each location. Interested parties may express interest or requestion additional information by submitting an Informational Quote Request form (attached).
