Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Unify Phone Upgrade

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action for a Unify Phone System Upgrade, and is not a request for competitive proposals. All inquiries received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

The intention is to award this contract to MCS Of Tampa, Inc. due to their organization being the sole reseller and install for Unify Systems. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. This requirement requires specific equipment that only Unify can provide in order to integrate with current Unify equipment. MCS will ingrate UHF, LMR.

Secondary Crash, and contact lists that can be accessed and operated at any location with their equipment. The interconnectivity of Unify will also allow for uninterrupted communication with all agencies with the system even if Base Communication were to go down allowing all agencies to communication during emergency situations unimpeded. Unify is the manufacturer. MCS is the reseller and installer, and is the only company with both Unify certified engineers and US DOD IT secret clearances.

There are other brands that provide similar requirements however, the costs associated with these are unreasonable though, as full security system replacement would be required at Kadena AB. Please see attached "Salient Characteristics - Itemized List" and "PWS"
