Online subscription to Foreign Policy

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE - THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD TO Slate Group LLC. The Department of Defense (DoD), Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate (WHS/AD), on behalf of the History and Library Directorate (HLD) intends to award a sole source contract to Slate Group LLC., 655 15TH ST NW STE 300, Washington, District Of Columbia 20005-5717, (Unique Entity ID:

HFE2GT5HXLX3, CAGE Code: 7SGE1) for Pentagon Library - Foreign Policy subscription support services. The period of performance is for a one (1) twelve-month base period. The anticipated period of performance is from September 20, 2024 - September 19, 2025. The anticipated award will be made under the statutory authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) “Soliciting from a single source”.

The contract is intended to meet the organization’s need for online access to Foreign Policy (FP) articles and research available through the website, foreignpolicy.com to support research needs of the Pentagon Reservation. The Contractor shall provide an annual online subscription to Foreign Policy research available through the website foreignpolicy.com. Access will be for all authorized Pentagon Library account holders.

Slate Group, LLC as the publisher of the foreignpolicy.com website is the only vendor is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality because the supplies or services ordered are unique or highly specialized. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged.

A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
