Infectious Disease Surveillance and Research within Royal Thai Army Sites

THIS IS A NOTICE TO INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This notice of intent is for information purposes only. The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, Maryland intends to issue a non-personal services sole source contract to the Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences (AFRIMS) Thai Component Research Division.

This contract will provide the support services to conduct research projects in the Royal Thai Army (RTA) for Infectious Disease Surveillance (IDS) projects which study the occurrence of diarrheal pathogens, antimicrobial resistant bacteria, and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI). Other research projects on respiratory, febrile, and environmental pathogens may be included as disease threats change.
