The Medical Readiness Contracting Office – Pacific intends to issue a within scope contract modification to contract W81K02-22-P-0043. The referenced contract was awarded as a competitive procurement to Treefrog Data Solutions, Inc. under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items. The services that are being performed are non-personal services of both inpatient and outpatient, remote (off-site) medical coding services at Bassett Army Community Hospital (BACH), Fort Wainwright, Alaska.

This modification will affect Options III and IV. The period of performance remains unchanged.

The anticipated date for contract modification is on or about 27 January 2024. The purpose of this modification is to increase quantities for Inpatient Coding - Up to 5 Days and Inpatient Professional Rounds (CLINs 3001, 3006, 4001 and 4006), reduce quantities to DHA Audit/Appeal/Mediation (CLIN 3003 and 4003), and add Outpatient Coding, Outpatient Emergency Room, and Outpatient APV/Same Day Surgery (new CLINs 3008-3010 and 4008-4010).

This modification is required to cover the remote medical coding encounters that were provided to BACH by task order W81K0222F0004, awarded off of MEDCOM’s Enterprise-Wide Remote Medical Coding Service Contract W81K0418D0003 that expired on 04 January 2023. This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirements under FAR 5.201 and 5.203.
