Zixi Cloud Services

The U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM) will award a follow-on contract with a one-year Base Period plus four Option Years for Zixi. Zixi is a Software-Defined Video Platform (SDVP) for the delivery of live video and audio over any IP network, including unmanaged Internet connections. The Zixi platform includes a proprietary transmission protocol, a control plane (Zen Master management interface), and broadcast cloud services.

The TSI Global Network Division has used the Zixi platform, protocol, and control plane for the past five years to distribute TV and radio content from all five USAGM broadcast networks to all USAGM Transmitting Stations and satellite uplink teleports worldwide, including the distribution of web streaming content to the Pangea Team in Prague. The Zixi SDVP is proprietary and can only be sold, serviced, supported, and upgraded by Zixi. Zixi currently has no reseller partners and does not plan to add any in the future.
