Description

As published on SAM.gov.

Request for Solutions: The Navy desires to establish an enduring, self-sufficient operational and sustainment model for its rapidly evolving fleet of Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs).

Purpose: The Navy is acquiring multiple new USV platforms with short lifecycles (approx. 5 years), but Fleet units lacks an agile tool to establish and manage the organic training, maintenance scheduling procedures, and sustainment readiness knowledge to operate these systems independently. The current hand-tailored, vendor-dependent support model is not scalable for the rapid introduction of new platforms, creating a significant readiness gap and risk to operational effectiveness.

Background and Summary: The objective is to prototype and operationalize a vendor-agnostic sustainment and training framework for multiple USVs platforms. This project will develop, validate, and institutionalize standardized O-level maintenance procedures, capture execution procedures, corrective maintenance support request, distinguish and separate data between/among platforms, a fleet-wide training curriculum and Joint Qualification Requirement (JQR), and agile lifecycle management processes.

The goal is to equip Fleet personnel and government support organizations to conduct maintenance and operations with minimal-to-no vendor support, enabling long-term, scalable readiness. Please go to matac.org for additional details
