Dry Dock and Repairs of Spar Barges 9001, 9004, 7312, and Double Spar Barge 9002 & 9003

W912EE The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source award to Big River Shipbuilders for thedry dock and repair to Spar Barges 9001, 9004, 7312, and Double Spar Barge 9002 & 9003. The contractor will be required to dry dock and repair the barges as needed to fix all leaks. The contractor is also responsible for gauging the hull of each barge at 8’ intervals. The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C.

3204(a)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested parties may submit their capabilities and qualifications to provide these services in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:00 p.m. CST on Monday, April 15, 2024. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFQ/RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
