Description

As published on SAM.gov.

Crime scene staging research has found that most offenders who stage crime scenes are male, most victims are female, and the most common victim-offender relationship involving staging is intimate partner relationships. Seasoned investigators, medical examiners, and prosecutors can be misdirected by staged crime scenesand can close highly suspicious cases as accidents, suicides, or undetermined cause of death cases. As these types of crimes occur in tribal communities, it is important for law enforcement, medical professionals, and prosecutors who support tribal communities to have adequate training to properly investigate and prosecute cases of this nature.
