Reconyx Cameras and Photo Transmission Service

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.106-1) with Reconyx for the purchase of Cameras and Cellular Photo Transmission. Reconyx manufactures specialized pro model research cameras that are best suited for monitoring remote research sites. Reconyx is the only small business reseller of the required pro research cameras, and the only vendor that can supply the camera and the required photo transmission services.

The contractor shall provide the following supplies: Item Part Number Quantity Hyperfire 2 Professional Covert IR Camera HP2X 20 Hyperfire 2 Professional Cellular Covert IR Camera HP2XC 10 Hyperfire 2 Series Security Enclosure HF2SE 20 Hyperfire 2 Heavy Duty Security Enclosure HF2HDSE 10 Omni Swivel Mount OMNIMT 10 T-Post Camera Mount TPCM 30 Hyperfire 2 Cellular Replacement Antenna Set HF2RAS 10 The contractor shall provide cellular access plans for up to 10 cellular trail cameras set up on traps at various research sites across the U.S. Because the traps require continuous 24 hours a day monitoring this contract will require the Reconyx Cellular Unlimited Plan.

This plan shall include cellular access to each camera, unlimited images each month, cloud storage and allow for real time access to the camera photos. The photo transmission subscriptions will be paid for monthly according to the need for each site. This acquisition is being set aside for small business. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 423410 with a Small Business Size Standard of 200 employees.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including price, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same or similar service. All capability statements received by the closing date of the publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.

A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
