Notice of Intent to Sole Source The 60th Contracting Squadron at Travis Air Force Base, CA has the intent to award a sole source contract for Air Show Ambulance to Medic Ambulance Service, Inc. in accordance with the guidance of FAR 13.106(b) Soliciting from a Single Source. Established protocol has identified these emergency and stand-by Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance services and transportation as the only approved option compatible for this requirement.

In Solano County, there are only two ambulance providers authorized to respond to emergency 9-1-1 calls: Vacaville Fire Department within its designated jurisdiction, and Medic Ambulance for the remainder of Solano County. Medic Ambulance is the only ambulance provider authorized to initiate ALS interfacility transports in Solano County until March 2025. This is a notice of the intent to award a sole source contract. It is published for informational purposes only and not as a request for competitive quotations.

Therefore, no solicitation document exists for this requirement. No responses to the notice of intent to sole source are anticipated, however, all quotations/responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
