Motion Picture Licensing Corporation- FAA-Single-Source

This intent to single source announcement is for the requirement to obtain licensing through the Motion Picture Licensing Corporation for the Federal Aviation Administration. The Federal Aviation Administration intends to award on a single source basis with Motion Picture Licensing Corporation, Los Angeles, California, an umbrella license which will allow the FAA to exhibit copyrighted movies, videos, and other television broadcasting material under copyright protection law.

They are the only known source to provide licensing for display of copyrighted television and movies. It is anticipated the resultant contract will be Firm Fixed Price contract. The contract is anticipated to be a base plus four options periods, a total of five years in length.

Purpose of the Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA’s decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures.
