Notice of Intent – Sole Source – Gardening, Groundskeeping, Lawn Care Services for the Principal Officer’s Residence

The U.S. Consulate General in Mérida intends to award a sole?source, firm?fixed?price contract to Cesar Isidro Davila Teran for Gardening, Groundskeeping, Lawn Care Services for the Principal Officer’s Residence. In accordance with FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and compelling urgency, Competitive solicitation isn’t feasible because few contractors can meet U.S. Government terms and security requirements, and current staffing shortages prevent vetting new vendors.

Maintaining the already cleared gardening staff is essential for secure operations at the residence. Therefore, the Contracting Officer has determined that it is in the Government’s best interest to sole?source this requirement.
