Intent to Sole Source Steris Washer/Sanitizer

The Indian Health Service/ Bemidji Area, plans to procure, on a sole source basis, services necessary to maintain and provide preventive maintenance for the AMSCO 2532 Waher Disinfector, AMSCO 400 Slide, IW ECO 5.2 Gal VAC, Scale Kit, Chemistry Dosing System Located at the Red Lake Service unit Steris: Authorized service provider: Steris Corporation/ 5960 Heisley RD/Mentor, OH. The response close date of the notice for this requirement is in accordance with FAR 5.203(b).

This acquisition will be processed IAW FAR 6.302-1: Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) The Contractor shall provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to maintain and provide preventive maintenance. STERIS is the sole factory-authorized supplier of parts and service for the equipment they manufacture, including products under the brand names of AMSCO, Finn Aqua, HAMO, Black Diamond Video, Medisafe and Cantel/Medivator.

All replacement parts manufactured or marketed by STERIS are compliant with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications. These parts are sold and shipped directly to the end user of the products. STERIS does not utilize a distributor model. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the U.S. Government.

Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement no later than stated above. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
