Notice of Intent - BOSS Maintenance Single Source

The 5th Contracting Squadron (5 CONS) in Minot Air Force Base, ND, intends to award a single source purchase order to provide updates/maintenance for the Bomber Operations Support System (BOSS) tactical data link training software. There is currently only one Vendor known of holding the intellectual property rights for this system. Since there are no other authorized distributors for the maintenance of the BOSS, 5 CONS intends to award a single source purchase order the the Vendor that can fulfill this requirement.

This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) & 13.106-1(b). The anticipated award date is after 25 August 2024. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals.

However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide updates/maintenance for the Bomber Operations Support System (BOSS) tactical data link training software. The deadline date for the submittals is 24 August 2024 at 11 am Central Standard Time. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
