Notice of Intent to Sole Source-Genscape, Inc

Western Area Power Administration intends to award on a Single Source basis to Genscape, Inc. 1140 Garvin Place, Louisville, KY 40203 for a performance period of one year, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Simplified Acquisitions. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is a sole source requirement for Genscape’s PowerRT and PowerIQ data and forecasting services.

Genscape’s PowerRT product is the only service on the market that provides real-time measurements of power plant generation output and is an integral part of WAPA’s systems. The technology that captures this data is patented by Genscape and the capabilities are proprietary to Genscape. The resulting procurement will be conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.

Responsible sources may submit a capability statement in response to this requirement, which shall be considered by the Agency. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 519290; size standard is 1000 employees. Capability statements must be received no later than the due date stated on this notice and shall include documentation on ability to satisfy the Government's requirements.
