Notice of Intent to Sole Source Bauer Compressor

Notice of Intent: Bauer Compressor has been AMU evaluated and on the Authorize Suppliers Diving Equipment List (ANU). The Coast Guard intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole-source procurement (under FAR authority 6.302) Bauer Compressors deployable compressors for RDL Chambers and deployments.

Background and Justification: Bauer Compressors meets all specifications and requirements of the Diving Equipment Authorized for Military use and will meet the schedule operations. This equipment has been briefed and identified as mission critical through MSRTW’s chain of command. Cannot include further use due to OPSEC concerns.as briefed to Commanding Officer and District. Bauer Compressors meets all the specifications and requirements on the Authorize Suppliers diving equipment ANU list. Bauer company makes a product with this capability and purpose for the U.S Government, aligns with the Navy Dive Manual.

GENERAL INFORMATION: The Bauer Compressor is an active Cat 1 on the ANU list of authorize Navy diving equipment. .Delivery Requirements:

A determination not to compete this proposed contract acquisition based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response.

The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed. Information provided will be used to assess tradeoffs and alternatives available for the potential requirement and may lead to the development of a solicitation.
