Special Notice - Fire Truck Ladder

Special Notice Synopsis: The 22nd Contracting Squadron – McConnell AFB, KS, 67221 on behalf of the 22nd Air Refueling Wing intends to award a firm fixed price contract under FAR 8.405-6(1)(B), Soliciting from a Limited Source Justification, to only one source, Mid America Fire Apparatus Inc. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Mid America Fire Apparatus Inc, based at 7037 E Us HWY, Rogersville, MIssouri, 65742. This is a limited source acquisition to Jon's Mid America Fire Apparatus, Inc. for the replacement and repair of the ladder fly on Ladder 22. Because this truck is manufactured by E-One any modifications or repairs need to be certified by the manufacturer.

According to LRS, Jon's Mid America Fire Apparatus, Inc. is the only vendor in the area that is certified by E-One to work on the apparatus for this type of repair. Utilizing another vendor in another area would create additional costs to the Air Force, as the vendor is responsible for the transportation to and from the base to their facility. They have also been used by LRS in the past for other repairs. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 811198 and the size standard is $10M.

Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by sending responses regarding this requirement to the 22nd Contracting Squadron via email ONLY to david.betchley@us.af.mil no later than 04 September 2024 by 1:00 PM CST. The U.S. government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this Notice. All costs associated with responding to this Notice will be solely at the expense of the interested party.
