NASA has awarded the Earth System Explorers Program (ESEP) The Carbon Investigation (Carbon-I) mission Phase A Concept Study to the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), of Pasadena, California. This is a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract that includes a 13-month base period with one 5-month option.
