Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Calibration of Heat Flux Sensors

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-l(b) (1). The US Army Contracting Command -Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Tenant Division, 6472 Integrity Court, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-3013; has a requirement to procure the following service: The Aberdeen Test Center requires a service contract to provide NIST-traceable calibration of Heat Flux Sensors used at Aberdeen Test Center.

These sensors are used in Live Fire testing to measure heat energy that could cause burns to military vehicle crew members. Calibrated sensors are needed to accurately assess burn criteria. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to Valtell Corporation (CAGE Code 69526). The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAlCS) Code is 334419 (Other Electronic Component Manufacturing) and the Small Business Size Standard is 750 employees.

All responses received within two businesses (2) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
