INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - STERIS CORPORATION

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE – STERIS CORPORATION Synopsis: MICC-West Point intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13-106-1(b)(1)(i), “Only one source reasonably available” based on the company being the sole provider for the services and is therefore the only source capable of satisfying the Government requirements.

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with: STERIS CORPORATION 5960, Heisley Road Mentor, Ohio 44060-1834 United States This is a new requirement for maintenance and repair services for a Steris manufactured autoclave sterilization machine for the Department of Chemistry and Life Science at the United States Military Academy. The NAICS Code is 811210 – Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a size standard of $34.0 million dollars.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
