Notice of Intent to Sole Source-Telephone Answering Services

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Peace Corps, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Acquisition and Contract Management, on behalf of the Office of Health Services, intends to award a sole source firm fixed price award to Direct Interactions, Inc. 701 5th Ave, #4250 Seattle, Washington 98104. This will be via modification to purchase order 1145PC23P0008 for approximately 72,000 additional phone minutes for emergency phone services.

Direct Interactions currently provides emergency telephone answering services to The Peace Corps-24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year with rapid response times. The dedicated emergency phone line receives a wide variety of calls. The contractor shall determine which calls meet emergency criteria for dispatch to specified Peace Corps points of contact for immediate action.

Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) and the procedures at FAR Part 12 entitled, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 entitled, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The purpose of this notice is to satisfy the requirements of FAR Subpart 5.2. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible parties may submit a quotation by the closing date of this announcement which shall be considered by the agency.

No solicitation will be issued. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received is in the sole discretion of the Government. The PSC Code is R699 – Support Administrative. The NAICS code for this action is 561421, Telephone Answering Services. Responses or inquiries shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to hwilliams2@peacecorps.gov and must be uploaded and received in their entirety no later than 03/08/2024 11:00 AM (ET).

Responses submitted by hardcopy or through SAM.gov will not be considered A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes for future Market Research requirements. No formal solicitation package is available. The Government will not be responsible for any costs of preparation in response to this announcement.
