Urban Indian Health Care Services – Spokane, Washington

The Portland Area Indian Health Service awarded on a sole source basis a firm-fixed price contract with The NATIVE Project, to provide health care and referral services to Urban Indian beneficiaries residing within the Spokane, Washington metropolitan area. The award is for a base year plus 4 option years and is in accordance with P.L.

94-437 Title V of the Indian Health Care Improvement Act, as amended (25 USC 1651) and the Snyder Act of November 2, 1921 925 U.S.C 13), which authorizes the Indian Health Service (IHS) to enter into contracts and grants with nonprofit urban Indian organizations and the Buy Indian Act (25 USC 47). The JOFOC is also pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-5 and 41 U.S.C., 253 (c) (5) and the use of set asides under the Buy Indian Act (25 U.S.C. 47).

Full and open competition need not be provided for when a statute expressly authorizes or requires that the acquisition be made from specified sources such as identified by Title V. The contract period of performance is October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025.
