BFSU Fire Protection System Repair

Notice of Intent to Sole Source Award THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.

The Billings Area Indian Health Service, Blackfeet Service Unit, Browning, Montana intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B), Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or service required at the level or quality required because the supplies or service are unique or highly specialized to Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP, 2823 Airport Road, Helena, Montana 59601. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 922160 – Fire Protection.

The object of this sole source award is to repair the fire protection control system to fully operational to meet safety standards for Joint Commission accreditation. Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP provides all required repairs and service and is the sole proprietor for the current fire alarm and suppression system. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation; however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities.

The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
