Description
As published on SAM.gov.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source contract to Metro Health – 2500 MetroHealth Drive, Cleveland, OH 44109 for access to the Epic Cosmos electronic health record dataset. The EPIC/COSMOS system, Epic and Cosmos, includes electronic health record (EHR) dataset from >240 million patients, and has penetrated all 50 states, making it the largest integrated EHR system in the US.
It is updated in real-time and includes important features such as automatic downloading of vaccine data from registries and maintaining a link between mothers and their infants, which enables assessment of maternal-infant outcomes. The scope, scale, and speed of this database makes it ideal for quickly assessing real-world effectiveness questions, especially in regard to potentially rare outcomes.

This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
