Description
As published on SAM.gov.
Temperature Monitoring System 75D30124Q78330 This contract action is for supplies that the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), NCEZID\DHQP\CEMB(HCRDC) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to E-Control Systems, Inc for a critical laboratory Temperature Monitoring System delivery by 9/30/2024. E-Control Systems is the industry leader in complete wireless temperature monitoring systems.
Custom tailored to suit all needs, ECS provides you with a snapshot of your entire operation, which can be viewed 24/7 from any computer, smart phone, or tablet, including an iPhone, iPod, iPad, or Android device. At the heart of our solution is our patented IntelliSense™ technology, which provides various types of intelligent sensors to monitor virtually anything in a customer’s operation.
Some of the things we monitor include temperature, humidity, door openings, CO2, Ultra-Low Temperature Freezers (ULT), Liquid Nitrogen Tanks (LN2), compressor runtime, refrigerant leaks, dishwasher final rinse, differential pressure, power interruption, and more. We considered other systems. Rees was evaluated in 2018, many groups across CDC went with this system but overall ended up having to switch over to E-controls Systems due to corruption in the software and issues with the system.
DLS SampleGuard: A Comprehensive Monitoring System by CDC’s Biorepository was evaluated in 2019, which only can be utilized if we move all samples and storage off site which is not feasible. E- controls was evaluated in 2018 and again in 2023, it was the only system with the ability to handle the complexity of the various equipment our labs use and work with our existing infrastructure. Quality and performance measures are extremely important within our laboratories.
The accuracy and efficacy of our experiments is paramount to our lab work. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. The NAICS 334516 and the PSC 6640 are the classifications for this laboratory instrument procurement.
A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to Gary Morgan, Contract Specialist at gmorgan1@cdc.gov by 5:00PM EST Thursday, September 5, 2024.
