Cell Phone Modification Exception to Fair Opportunity

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT Under the authority of FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(c), the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Contracting Department, intends to modify an existing order (N3904023F0040) to Cellco Partnership doing business as Verizon Wireless (Verizon). A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the government. As evidenced in the justification provided by the requiring activity this is in the best interest of the Government.
