Overhaul of Struts

This is a Sources Sought Notice only and does not constitute a solicitation announcement. This is not a request for proposals or a quote and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. This Sources Sought Notice is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a solicitation announcement for quotes/proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement.

This Sources Sought Notice has been issued to survey the market and assist the USCG in determining possible sources for consideration. All firms responding to this Sources Sought Notice are advised that their responses to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. The Contractor must have access to the most current editions of all applicable documents and manuals. The USCG does not maintain nor release the technical directive documents required to repair these components.

The USCG is conducting market research to seek sources that have the capability to supply the items listed in Table 1 (see Attachment 1 - Overhaul Struts Sources Sought Notice). Items must have traceability to the Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) identified in Table 1 of the attachment. Responses Responses to this notice should included company name, address, telephone number, and point of contact (POC). Please respond to the following questions.

1) Is your business a large or small business?

2) How many employees?

3) What North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code does your company use for this type of service?

4) Is your business active in SAM.GOV and do you have a CAGE code?

5) Is your business, Woman owned? Veteran owned? Sole proprietor?

6) Provide estimate lead time for warranty consideration and routine maintenance.

7) Provide estimate shipping information: will shipping be F.O.B. Destination, or F.O.B. Origin. If shipping is F.O.B Origin, please provide estimate shipping cost.

8) Do you have other government agencies using the product, and if so, which agencies, POC and contact numbers?

9) Will you be able to provide traceability to the OEM? Please provide sufficient detail for the Government to determine that the interest party is capable of meeting the requirement sated above. After review of the responses to this Sources Sought Notice, and if the USCG still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published on the SAM.GOV website. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are not adequate responses to any future solicitation announcement.

All interested offerors will be to respond to the solicitation in addition to responding to this Source Sought Notice. Responses to the Sources Sought Notice are NOT a request to be added to a prospective offerors list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. Closing date and time for receipt of response is 04/08/2025 @ 12:00 P.M. EST. Responses that do not provide the requested information cannot be used to help the Government make the appropriate acquisition decisions. The USCG will not reimburse any cost incurred by interested parties that respond to this notice. Responses to this notice will not result in automatic distribution of any future solicitation for this requirement. If a solicitation is released, it will be published on SAM.GOV website at http://www.sam.gov.

Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website for additional information pertaining to this potential requirement. Interested parties must respond to any future solicitations to be considered for award.
