THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.
As part of its market research, the U.S. Coast Guard is issuing this Sources Sought to determine if there exists an adequate number of qualified interested contractors capable of providing solutions to meet the requirement. The Government many use the responses to this Sources Sought for information and planning purposes. The U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Cape May provides military training to Coast Guard personnel. These trainees are considered “accession” personnel entering or returning to military service.
Various uniforms are issued for wear during and after military training during accession training. Tailoring services performed by the contractor must ensure accession personnel meet the Coast Guard Uniform Regulation standards. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to ascertain available sources to provide fitting, alteration/tailoring, and garment pressing services for accession personnel at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center, Cape May, NJ (see draft version of the PWS).
USCG intends to issue solicitation in support of this requirement. This requirement will be procured using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The period of performance will consist of a base and four option years. The anticipated award contract type is a Firm-Fixed Price. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement may be 811490, Other Personal and Household Goods Repair and Maintenance.
The anticipated posting date of the solicitation is on or about September 09, 2024 and an award date on or about October 17, 2024. This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of the U.S. Coast Guard market research. No Request for Proposal (RFP) exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the RFP. Responses to this Sources Sought are not quotes on which the U.S. Coast Guard can issue any contract.
This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not itself constitute and RFP. The Government does not intend to award a contract based only on responses to this Sources Sought. All information received in response to this Sources Sought marked “Proprietary” will be protected and handled accordingly. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response.
The Government reserves the right to ask follow-up clarifying questions to individual companies based on proprietary information submitted without posting those questions. Responses to the Sources Sought will not be returned. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with the responding to this Sources Sought. The U.S. Coast Guard will not pay for information received in response to this Sources Sought.
