The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) - United States Coast Guard (USCG), Office of Contract Operations (CG-912), Washington, D.C. prepared this justification for an exception to fair opportunity. Pursuant to the requirements of the Competition in Contracting Act (CICA) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.3, the USCG issued a modification to contract 70Z02320CPIT00500 extending the original period of performance for a 12-month period.

The modification was issued for the purpose of maintaining critical support that was scheduled to end in June 2024. The requested modification is necessary for continuity of operations to maintain mission critical training and training support to further the USCG HQ CG-9333 Electronic Health Records Acquisition (eHRa) Program Management Office's (PMO) transition of USCG personnel health records from paper-based to paperless.
