Faraday Room

The contract action was not awarded competitively. The Criminal Investigative Division (CID) intends to procure this requirement from the Faraday Defense Corporation. The purpose of seeking a sole source vendor for the Faraday Room is to have the same type of system in all of our 42 Cyber Fraud Task Forces (CFTFs). We currently have Faraday Defense Corporation rooms in two of our offices (Orlando Field Office (ORL) and Jacksonville Field Office (JAX)). We have received positive feedback from both offices.

The Faraday Defense Corporation is a leader in full-scale wave management utilizing a modular forensic hardwall enclosure construction to properly isolate Radio Frequency (RF) for multiple applications to include digital forensics, secure workstations, military applications, law enforcement applications, secure server/device storage and secure meeting space.

The Faraday Defense Corporation’s prices are on the lower-end when compared with other vendors who responded to our request for information (RFI) earlier this year (Example: Faraday Defense Corporation quoted a 10x30 room for $280,000.00 vs. another vendor that quoted $350,000.00 for the same size room). Faraday Rooms need maintenance and retesting on a 1-2 year basis (depending on the vendor and product) to keep them current with industry standards. The Faraday Defense Corporation has a very reasonable and cost effective plan to address each Faraday Room.
