Title: Level II Armed Security Guard Services Contracts Within the State of Michigan Notice: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested by the due date above.
The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561612, Security Guard and Patrol Services. This effort is solicited as a local area set-aside in accordance with the Robert T. Stafford and Local Community Recovery Act of 2006. Per FAR 26.202 Local Area Preference, preference shall be given, to the extent feasible and practicable, to local firms doing business in the area affected by DR-4757- MI.
Description of Services: The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has a requirement for Level II Armed Guard Services in the State of Michigan in support of DR-4757-MI, a FEMA federally declared disaster.
Delivery and Service Location: To Be Determined. The contractor shall Provide Level II Armed Guard Services in the State of Michigan in support of DR-4757-MI, a FEMA federally declared disaster. Requirements will be for armed guards to be provided as requested in the nine (9) declared counties: Eaton, Ingham, Ionia, Kent, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, and Wayne. There may be up to eighty-three (83) declared counties within the State of Michigan.
The locations requirement will be determined by need and requirements for FEMA facilities. At the peak there could be a requirement for up to 240 hours per day of armed guard services. The length of time for the requirement will be based on requirements as determined by FEMA.
Estimated Period of Performance: Base – 120 Day after Award Option – 2 x 60 Day option Period
