The Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for the Swanton Sector is installing an electrical service for a Remote Surveillance System – Maritime (RSS-M). The RSS-M is a self contained, 85 foot relocatable tower that supports a rotating marine radar with a FLIR long range video system. This document addresses the power requirements for the RSS-M. This is a temporary installation, all infrastructure being installed will be removed as requirements change and a new location is identified.
The contractor must provide all labor, tools, material, transportation, inspections, and any other incidentals required to install the electrical infrastructure needed for the RSS-M. The contractor must also schedule any inspection required by Selfridge Air National Guard Base. The contractor will install a fused disconnect switch attached to a transformer on the Northeastern section of Selfridge Air National Guard Base. Contractor must install infrastructure required to support the deployment of the RSS-M. The contractor must follow all rules and regulations required by county, Selfridge Air National Guard Base and the state of Michigan.
