NOTICE OF INTENT TO SINGLE SOURCE – RVSS MDP Acquisition of Tracking Equipment NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source using single source procedures.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source, one-time award to purchase the following items: Item Number Description Quantity 00001 LAN API Recorder SSR network data recorder PART# 803C-R9 1.00 00002 Global Track Correlator PART# 670C-R9 1.00 00003 Prime PCRP Interface for Hensoldt SharpEye PART# 209C-R9 3.00 Rational Basis for Use of Single Source Award Procedures: SSR Engineering is the only manufacturer for the Prime PCRP, Network Data Recorder, and Global Track Correlator that can fully satisfy the requirement.

The above listed items are specifically customized for the Customs Border Patrol use. SSR Engineering is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and there are no other resellers or distributors. SSR Engineering’s commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) product is the only know system to meet CBPs operational requirements. SSR Engineering is also the only known source that can provide the mission essential equipment within the required 60 days after receipt of order.
