Notice of Intent to Sole Source: High-Speed Camera System for Federal Outdoor Impact Laboratory (FOIL)

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) for a NAC Image Technology high-speed camera system by MCAT for use at the Federal Outdoor Impact Laboratory (FOIL). MCAT cameras are required to ensure seamless synchronization with existing FOIL systems. This unique performance is achieved through proprietary software created by NAC Image Technology, which exclusively allows connection to their cameras.

This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement are invited to submit a description of their firm's capabilities by May 27th, 2025, at 12:00 AM Eastern Time. Submissions should clearly demonstrate the ability to provide a compatible high-speed camera system that integrates with the current FOIL systems and NAC Image Technology's proprietary software.
