The FHWA, through the Office of Planning, Environment, and Realty, is soliciting proposals to conduct research and applied research that lead to or support the goal of reconnecting communities and neighborhoods that were previously cut off from economic opportunities by transportation infrastructure and could lead to innovative changes and revolutionary advances for transportation planning in the United States.
The objective of this Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) is to advance the practice and application of transportation planning among State, metropolitan, regional, local, and Tribal transportation planning governments and nonprofit organizations in response to reconnect communities and neighborhoods in transportation planning and to identify new tools, techniques, and approaches that respond to national transportation planning priorities.
This BAA is being conducted as a two phased effort, with initial White Papers and then Full Proposals. Please see the attached documents for more information regarding proposal requirements.
