This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued, and quotations will not be requested. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to award a fixed price contract on a sole source basis to the Society of American Indian Government Employees (SAIGE), 17706 N. Peoria Skiatook, OK 74070 for sponsorship for EPA employees to attend and to set up a career booth at the National Training Program (NTP) Career Expo and Exhibit Hall.
This will be an opportunity for senior leaders, managers, and employees to share information about the various career paths available at EPA.
Further, EPA will participate in the SAIGE NTP Student Program and engage with students to discuss careers at the agency, at the four (4) day conference at the Northern Quest Casino and Resort in Spokane, WA from June 3-6, 2024. The theme will be aligned with SAIGE’s theme of “Affirming Native Voices: Visibility-Leadership-Service.” This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with Federal Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b)(1) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $250,000.00.
The sole source nature of this requirement is based on the determination that The Society of American Indian Government Employees offers the special qualifications and requirements to support the EPA’s goal of promoting equity by advancing diverse leaders and in particular supporting Executive Order 13592, Improving American Indian and Alaska Native Educational Opportunities and strengthening Tribal College and Universities EO 13985. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government.
Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
