Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source 3D Printer Maintenance Plan

The 28th Contracting Squadron, Ellsworth AFB, SD awarded a sole source contract to Stratasys, Inc for 1 base year plus 3 option years of a 3D Printer Maintenance Plan for a Stratasys Fortus 450 and Fortus 900 3D Printer.

APPLICIABILITY OF AUTHORITY: The Statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition for this acquisition is the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Department of the Air Force Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DAFFARS). FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) justifies limiting the source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.

The attached Sole Source Justification outlines the Contracting Officer's justification and reasoning to award a sole source award to Stratasys, Inc. All responsible source who beleive they can meet all of the requriements in the attached Statement of Work may submit a capability statement, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
