Notice of Intent to Sole Source: JBSA-Randolph Joint Information Center Upgrades

This is a Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source. The 502d Contracting Squadron intends to issue a single-source award to Rolltechs Specialty Vehicles, LLC; Cage Code 1TU13, 7451 FM 3009 Schertz, TX 78154 for the upgrades and modifications to the Joint Information Center (JIC) trailer. The JIC is used to support the installation commander when providing situation updates to local and wing Public Affairs Officers during incidents affecting JBSA.

The purpose of this action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Rolltechs Specialty Vehicles, LLC, under the authority FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).

In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, the Contacting Officer may solicit from one source if the Contract Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g. urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization). This notice of intent is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation for offers.

Interested vendors may identify their capabilities for fulfilling this requirement. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement is based solely upon the Government based in responses to this notice. Information received will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement and is solely within the discretion of the Government.
