Acato Contract Extension Notice

The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) awarded Contract 89233121CNA000230 to Acato Information Management located in located in Oak Ridge TN on September 30, 2021 to provide a Quality Assurance (QA) Director and QA Specialists to join the NNSA G2 team to work exclusively on the G2 project. The QA specialists perform software quality assurance on new and existing functionality supporting all the users and developers.

The QA Director and QA specialists follow the G2 Project Plan which outlines the team’s SAFe-based principles and practices and the G2 Software QA Plan. In addition to the task above, Acato provides a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist and any additional support by additional QA specialists or a Quality Assurance Lead as needed to support the BUILDER Program.

They are responsible for ensuring the BUILDER toolset provides accurate, consistent, and timely infrastructure data to include creating, maintaining, and executing User Acceptance tests; providing Tier 2 helpdesk services for tracking and managing software defects; and maintaining the BUILDER Software QA Handbook. The QA team acts as a technical advisor to the NNSA BUILDER Program Manager to ensure all software is adequately tested, deployed, and working as expected.

The NNSA intends to extend contract 89233121CNA000230 by 1 year . The extension will extend the period of performance to September 30, 2025. This notice of contract action is not a request for proposals or quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
