Notice of Intent - Sole Source - Elevator Preventative Maintenance

This is not a solicitation; this is a NOTICE OF INTENT to award a sole source procurement. The U.S. Embassy in Algiers intends to solicit and award a firm fixed price contract of one base year and four option years below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold to VERTICAL SOLUTION in Algiers, Algeria, to maintain the OTIS brand elevators installed at the chancery in safe, reliable, and efficient operating condition under authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i) and 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).

For this requirement, VERTICAL SOLUTION is considered the only responsible source that can perform this type of project because they are the sole authorized distributor in Algeria that can provide certified technicians and original equipment manufacturer parts to maintain the chancery's elevators, as required by the Department of State.
