Notice of Intent to Issue a Sole Source Award The United States Coast Guard (USCG), Office of Specialized Capabilities (CG-721) hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price contract for Glock Armorer and Advanced Armorer Course for USCG personnel. The contractor will provide two session of 2-days of hands-on training per convening that includes instruction on intermediate maintenance for Glock pistols for a five-year period.

This will include repair, inspection and troubleshooting on all components of the Glock weapons beyond organizational maintenance. This sole source contracting action is in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b). This hereby constitutes a synopsis of the item/s included in this requirement. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 611430, $15.0M Business Size Standard and Product Service Code (PSC) U009.

Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the USCG Glock Armorer and Advanced Armorer Course Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objectives. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. The USCG conducted market research and determine that interested parties did not have instructors that are currently Glock certified.

Information received will be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive solicitation for future requirements regarding the Glock Armorer and Advanced Armorer Course. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals.
