Threshold Notice: Modification for PNS Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Forklift Maintenance (5 years)

Per FAR 5.201(b)(1)(ii) the contracting officer must transmit a notice to the GPE for each proposed contract modification to an existing contract for additional supplies or services that meets the posting threshold in 5.101(a)(1). The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Contracting Office is executing a bilateral contract modification to Contract N3904021P0066 which was awarded on April 7, 2021 to W.D.

MATTHEWS (4J600) for the Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to include preventative maintenance (PM), diagnosis/repair of non-functioning equipment, modifications, and diagnosis/repair of battery chargers for electric MHE on site at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth NH. The purpose of this modification is to add additional funding to NTE Remedial Maintenance CLIN 3002 (POP 8/23/24 to 8/22/25) in the amount of $186,000.00, as well as add equipment/parts onto Exhibit B of N3904021P0066.

Funding to the Remedial Maintenance work under this contract increases the total contract value by $186,000.00, from $1,715,835.09 to $1,901,835.09. This contract modification is considered within scope of the contract as the funding being added is within the scope of work and intent of the original awarded contract. The nature of the services are not changed with this contract modification.
