Butler TT1000 Gen 3 Bundle Parachute System

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The Kentucky Air National Guard intends to award a sole source purchase order to Butler Parachute Systems, Inc. (cage code 3PKE3), P.O. Box 6098 Roanoke, VA 24017-0098 for Low Profile Parachute Assembly x 25 P/N: 11090. Butler Parachute Systems, Inc. will be able to provide low profile parachutes to ensure Kirtland AFB will adhere to various Air Force requirements and Technical Orders.

Butler Parachute Systems, Inc. is the sole manufacturer and distributor for the Butler TT1000 Gen 3 Bundle Parachute System. The BA style parachutes are the sole authorized parachutes specified for AC-130 aircraft. Any deviation from the use of standardized parachutes may hinder mission success and lead to significant confusion amongst aircrew and technicians. This purchase will be made under Federal Supply Schedules as authorized by FAR 8.4.

The anticipated award date is 12 September 2024. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the product/services listed above. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.

Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A Sole Source Justification Letter will be posted with the Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source IAW Far 6.305(a).
