The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to negotiate a contract on a single source basis to Riegl USA for the procurement of Riegl VZ-600i Terrestrial Scanner/kit. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System Paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures.

Saab, Inc. owns all proprietary data rights proprietary information necessary to conduct manufacture, repair, and test of these assets. A market survey (6973GH-24-MS-00031) was posted to the SAM.gov web site on March 31st, 2025, and closed on April 11th, 2025. Riegl USA was the only acceptable source for the VZ-600I.

The proposed principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 334519, Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing, with a Small Business Size Standard of 500. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement.
