PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE, SUPPORT AND REPAIR SERVICES FOR AGILENT EQUIPMENT

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FOR PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE, SUPPORT AND REPAIR SERVICES FOR AGILENT EQUIPMENT This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-l(b) (1).

The US Army Contracting Command -Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Tenant Division, 6001 Combat Drive, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-1846; has a requirement to procure the following service: The Army Futures Command Combat Capability Development Command - Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM CBC) requires preventive maintenance, and repair to the Government-owned Agilent and some non-Agilent laboratory instruments to include unlimited on-site repairs, software, latest software updates, on-line technical support, and telephone assistance to resolve technical problems.

The contractor shall keep the Government-owned equipment in good operating condition per Original Equipment Manufacture’s (OEM) standards. The service shall include labor (including travel time), documentation, repair parts, maintenance supplies, transportation and other miscellaneous expenses associated in the performance of the contract. The services to be conducted by the contractor on equipment for DEVCOM CBC are located in the Continental United States (ie.

Edgewood Area of Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD, Pine Bluff, AR, Rock Island, IL, Dugway Proving Ground (DPG), UT), Outside Continental United States (ie. Seoul, Korea, Kabul, Afghanistan…) and other supported duty stations. The service is for a 12-month base period and four (4) option period.

The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) to Agilent Technologies, Inc, 2850 Centerville Rd., Wilmington, DE, 19808. Agilent Technologies, Inc, is the previous contract holder and due to the continued need for the maintenance and support services for the mission essential routine preventive maintenance, and repair to the Government-owned Agilent and some non-Agilent laboratory instruments to include unlimited on-site repairs, software, latest software updates, on-line technical support, and telephone assistance to resolve technical problems.

The contractor shall keep the Government-owned equipment in good operating condition per Original Equipment Manufacture’s (OEM) standards. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAlCS) Code is 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and the Small Business Size Standard is $34M. All responses received within ten businesses (10) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
