Special Notice Special Notice Page 4 of 4 Special Notice *= Required Field Special Notice This Request for Information (RFI) is solely for the purpose of inquiry into industry practices of commercial configurators and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP). This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for Customized Power Wheelchair. Furthermore, the U.S. Government is not seeking proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this special notice.

All information received in response to this RFI, that is marked as proprietary, will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. The Department of Veterans Affairs would like to invite contractors to present their commercial configurators.

The purpose is to have the Government see first-hand the configurator functionality, as well as to see the output from a completed selection process using the configurator. The Government will use this information to prepare requirements for integration between contractors configurators functionality and VA ordering processes and systems in a way that will best meet the objectives of the customized power wheelchair program. Presentations will be made via Team meetings.

Individual invitations will be sent to contractors who respond to the RFI by the deadline of April 5, 2024, at 3PM MT. Please send a list of attendees and their respective email addresses.
